Karachi (June 12, 2010): While addressing the graduates and the guests at 4th convocation of Institute of Business & Technology (BIZTEK), Advisor to Prime Minister for Information Technology Latif Khosa said that the present democratic Government, under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani is committed to the cause of Education, through which the Democratic Institution will be strengthened up to grass root level.
He reminded the graduates that, this is also the message of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of the nation, who has with firm belief declared that, with the jewel of Education, we can develop the talents in emerging youth, who play their pivotal part as the saviours of our beloved country- Pakistan.
Earlier Dr. Riaz Ahmad Shaikh, Vice Rector of BIZTEK welcome the Guest of Honour and said BIZTEK is committed to impart quality education to the younger generation of this country and it is striving for maintaining global standards in the fields of business and technological education.
Among the guests of hour were Senator Haseeb Khan, Sindh Minister of Education Pir Mazhar-ul-Haque, the provincial ministers Dr. Saghir Ahmad, Adil Siddiqui, Jam Mehtab Dar, Tauqir Fatima Bhutto, Muzaffar Shajra, Rafiq Engineer, Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Imtiaz Shaikh and leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Jam Madad Ali.
Dr. Steven R. Ekovich, Professor of International and Comparative Politics, The American University of Peris (France) delivered his keynote address at the convocation.
The Convocation was presided over by Chancellor Noman Abid Lakhani and 280 students were awarded degrees in business and technology.
