Aptitude Test
Aptitude Test is the precondition for admission. At the announcement of a new semester, applications are received to Admission Department through online forms. Each application is sorted out and the admit card for aptitude test is issued to an applicant. Passing aptitude test is mandatory for admission at the institute. Aptitude Test is based on different academic, psychological and cognitive parameters.
Interview
After the Aptitude Test, Institute requires all successful candidates to appear before a Selection Committee for an interview. In general, mature applicants or those applying for a professional degree can expect to be interviewed, if the department is considering his/her selection.
Merit List
Merit List containing the names of successful candidates is displayed at a given date on the notice board. The same list is also placed on the Institute’s website at the same time. Generally, no queries are treated on phone regarding the inclusion or exclusion of name. It is a good practice to check for the date of the list on the entry-test day on the notice board or ask the front desk officer. Admission Office also send letters to successful candidates, however students are advised to remain in contact for the same.
Waiting List
A short waiting list is also placed along with the Merit List. Candidates falling in this list should not consider themselves selected unless their names are included in the Merit List. Normally this would only be done if any candidate in the Merit List fails to complete his/her admission process.
Re-Admission
Admission Committee allows re-admission only if the student is not a defaulter and his past academic record predicts his success. However, in such an instance, student will be required to submit an admission fee again in full. Though the committee may exempt the entry exam, but an interview before the committee will be required.
